All our live-in carers undergo a rigorous recruitment process and only those that show a standard of professionalism and commitment to client care become part of our team. Our training for both experienced and novice staff is of the highest quality, instructing not just the practical aspects of caring for the infirm but also reinforcing the ‘Care at our Core’ ethos for client care. Our carers receive on-going training over-and-above the statutory requirements and are continually assessed to maintain the quality of care and high levels of professional development. Expert and responsive care team

Our live-in care team has an extensive medical knowledge and is able to monitor and manage a wide range of conditions, including dementia, multiple sclerosis, stroke recovery and cancer. By liaising with local health and social care organisations, changing care needs can be met responsively and effectively. Your carer will offer a holistic approach, tending not just your medical condition and immediate requirements but also your ever-changing emotional and mental wellbeing.

Continuity of professional, considerate care

By discussing your needs from the outset we ensure that you receive the optimum care for your requirements. Our dedicated care managers constantly work closely with and support your carer to monitor your condition and needs. Your carer can then work to the very best of their abilities knowing that they have the support and experience of the team behind them. We organise our rotas so that your care is continuous and, by also considering the social needs of our carers, we can help promote an increased quality of care.

Support 24 hours a day, seven days a week

Both you and your family have full access to Horizon Live-in Care’s support and administration team and we encourage you to get in touch both before and during your care term. Your live-in carer too has full back-office support, providing you and your carer with the peace of mind that any issue will get handled efficiently and effectively. Because Horizon covers the core region of Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire, it’s services are not spread too thinly and we can maintain close contact with all our clients and care teams. Horizon will manage all of the administration of your care, including fees, payment of carers and domestic responsibilities.
